Comparison of Noun Determiners in English and Measure Words in Chinese.
- Authors
June Huang
- Abstract
The article offers the author's insights on the comparisons of noun determiners in English and measure words in Chinese. The author notes that nouns in English have inflections and modified by a determiner while the insertion of measure words in nouns with numerals is needed in Chinese language structure. It states that the usage of plural in count nouns can be inflected in English language structure while the use of plural in Chinese can either be used as countable and non-countable noun.
