Abstract
The article offers the author's discussion on western maternal embodiment and art making as embodied critical resistance on Australian motherhood. She mentions a feminine reification of the "Saturn Devouring His Children" painting of Spanish artist Francisco Goya which depicts her own struggles with maternal ambivalence. She also points out feminist theories that challenge the views of the said type of kinship.
