- Abstract
The article presents a case study of an 8-month-old Thoroughbred colt that was presented with a six-week history of swelling of the carpus and left antebrachium. Ultrasonography showed displacement of its tendon of insertion and extensive disruption of the extensor carpi radialis muscle. The spindle cells had multiple, intracytoplasmic vacuoles and occasionally revealed evidence of erythrophagocytosis.
