- Abstract
The article presents a study which determines reference intervals for whole blood and serum mineral concentrations in diverse bighorn sheep or Ovis canadensis metapopulations in California. The study cites factors which can influence mineral concentrations in wildlife species such as the establishment of reference limits. It discusses the importance of mineral reference ranges for species such as bighorn, as their productivity and health are growingly managed and scrutinized.
