- Abstract
The article discusses research on the accuracy of diagnostic methods that are commonly used for identifying Anaplasma marginale infection among dairy cattle that are lactating in Puerto Rico. It references a study by Pedro Melendez and colleagues, published in the 2010 issue of the "Journal of the Veterinary Diagnostic Investigation." The researchers used the Bayesian methods to examine the cattle if they are suffering from the disease called Bovine anaplasmosis. They found that among the cases, only five cows were tested positive to the infection.
