- Abstract
This article reports the first occurrence of powdery mildew on Pugionium cornutum (L.) Gaertn, a biennial herb in China. The powdery mildew symptoms were observed on the plants, with more than 80% of them being affected. Fungal analysis identified the pathogen as Erysiphe cruciferarum, and pathogenicity was demonstrated through inoculation experiments. This research provides valuable information on the occurrence and identification of powdery mildew on P. cornutum, contributing to the understanding of plant diseases in China.
