- Abstract
The article offers information on new evidences related to Susan Fortune Ridout, a pupil of Greek poet Andreas Kalvos, who is known only through her letter which she sent to Kalvos. It mentions that Ridout was born at the Church of Saint Mary le Port in Bristol on December 5, 1793. It also discusses her will which she made on January 19, 1857 in which she gave a greater part of her property to her nephew, son of her ill-sister. It further states that she died unmarried on August 23, 1857 and she recommended pupils to poet Kalvos in one of her letters.
