- Abstract
The article discusses the impact of global financial crisis (GFC) to the capital markets of New South Wales. It stresses that the impact of GFC on capital markets in New South Wales has not been so devastating. It describes several institutions established by the Australian Parliament to promote vigilant supervision of Australian financial market. The authors tackles some reasons why New South Wales has not been so much affected by the GFC. The authors explain why the sub-prime lending practices and no documents policy that flourished in the United States never took on in New South Wales.
