- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examines the relationship between the induction of unfolded protein response (UPR) and epstein-Barr virus (EBV) EBV lytic gene expression with a variety of UPR inducers. The study reveals the association of EBV lytic gene expression with endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. Further, it shows that UPR, viral activation and ER stress are closely associated but may be separable from the cytotoxic effects of bortezomib and nelfinavir.
