- Title
A GENDER LENS ON PUBLIC-SECTOR DC SAVINGS BEHAVIORS.
- Authors
Gropper, Michael
- Abstract
The article offers insights into public-sector plan participants' savings behaviors based on gender, with a focus on account balances, contributions, and asset allocation. It reveals that men tend to have larger account balances than women across all age groups, with women in their 30s holding approximately 69 cents for every dollar held by similarly aged men, primarily due to differences in contributions and equity allocation in their retirement portfolios.
