- Abstract
The article discusses the bismuth-rich aurostibite which is a product of maldonite replacement in a volcanogenic and plutonogenic darasun deposit in Eastern Transbaikalia in Russia. It notes on the stability of aurostibite at a low sulfur fugacity under endogenous conditions within the field of pyrrhotite stability. It mentions that aurostibite is bound to act with minerals and is formed at the interaction of antimonic hydrotherms coming down from native antimony with native gold. It also elucidates the stages of the formation of the darasun deposit wherein its ore veins contain four associations of different ages with gold minerals.
