Chapter 2. The Questionnaire.
- Abstract
The article discusses a questionnaire sent by politician Colonel Josiah Wedgwood in July 1936 to members and former members of the British parliament who served up to 1918. It examines Wedgwood's "biographical dictionary" approach to parliamentary history and comments on correspondence stemming from the survey. Other topics include the responses of Irish nationalist politicians, politicians' experiences in World War I, and the involvement of engineer Leonard Darwin in the project.
