- Abstract
The article focuses on a task force commissioned by the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN) to identify nursing-sensitive indicators in ambulatory care settings. Topics discussed include early efforts on identifying and quantifying the work of the registered nurse in the ambulatory care setting, response of the AAACN Task Force to the Ambulatory Measurement Summit held by the American Nurses Association (ANA), and nursing-sensitive indicator themes.
