- Abstract
The article recommends practices that early childhood educators can follow to foster inclusivity and create culturally competent classrooms that engage African American fathers of children in their schools. These include examining the curriculum for potential bias, building trusting relationships between fathers and their children and educators, developing parenting skills and techniques, engaging fathers in educational activities with their children and ignoring cultural differences.
