- Abstract
The article discusses a study concerning the molecular cloning of Heat shock protein 60 (hsp60) isolated from the stem borer, Chilo suppressalis. It is stated that the cloning of HSP60 through real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) revealed 2142 base pairs (bp), with an open reading frame (ORF) of 1719 bp and 572 amino acid residues. It further demonstrated the use flow cytometry for the identification of hsp60 expression and the impact of thermal stress on the same gene.
