- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of hypertensive crisis management. Hypertensive crisis is a significant increase in blood pressure (BP), usually to the levels higher than 180/110 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) and classified as emergency or urgency. It also points out that the goal of the management is to avoid overaggressive treatment of the nonemergent patient while initiating the most appropriate treatment.
