- Abstract
The article presents abstracts on technology. Environmental management systems (EMS) are seen as a new way to achieve higher corporate environmental performance. Interview data from business and governmental managers indicates that all three dimensions of the pronoia framework are useful in predicting the ability of two parties to achieve supplemental environment projects agreement. Diversity of users and simplicity of current interfaces complicate user interface issues for search. A. Mowshowitz and A. Kawaguchi argue that like other media search engines have a bias in what they present. S. L. Greene is developing learning tools focused on domain-specific experiences through kiosks in public spaces. These are applications for exploration and experimentation featuring user control, flexibility and engaging content. A. F. Karr, A. Dobra and A. P. Sanil provide an overview of an architecture for preserving the confidentiality of statistical data. In a shift, there are two overview articles covering mature and emerging applications that capture the data. This essay offers a historian's view of the development of the scholarship about technology transfer over the past half century, interweaving two primary threads.
