- Abstract
The authors reflect on how to maximize the potential use of smartphones in hospital property while reducing its negative effect. They suggest to limit the use of near monitoring equipment in patient rooms in critical care and emergency areas, where evidence has revealed thy might interfere if in certain equipment's proximity. They mention that hospitals need to develop systems to engage staff in ensuring appropriate guidance for use after bans are being lifted.
