Concerns Amid Support for Common Core.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the survey conducted to 800 K-12 teachers who were members of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) to determine their support to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for mathematics and English language arts. The results of the survey show that teachers overwhelmingly support the CCSS. The 78% of the respondents say that they have received professional development training about CCSS. Several charts related to results of the survey are also presented.
