The article focuses on the status of guilty pleas and the impact of the plea bargaining on the guilty pleas in reference to the court case Commonwealth v. Forbes. Topics discussed include impact of the decision of the case on the withdrawal of guilty pleas, disputes caused for permitting the withdrawal of guilty pleas before sentencing and importance of pre-sentence request for plea bargaining and withdrawal of the guilty pleas as well. It further discusses the role of trial courts.
