- Authors
Chi, Donald L.; Broder, Hillary L.; Warren, John
- Abstract
The authors call for preventive dental health promotion research with a focus on low-income teenagers to address disparities in oral health that start in childhood and persist into adulthood. They comment on the challenges conducting intervention research focusing on teenagers and consider the use of Medicaid data in finding low-income adolescent clusters for use in population-based interventions. They talk about promoting health literacy by engaging low-income teenagers in medical decisions.
