- Abstract
The article looks at the increased rate of cellular phone and smartphone thefts and mentions the introduction of the Chapter 275 to the to the Business and Professions Code of California to reduce smartphone-related crimes. Topics discussed include need of a kill switch in smart phones to let consumers shut-off their phones after theft; coordination between law enforcement and cellular phone companies; and launch the Secure Our Smart phones Initiative in the state.
