- Abstract
The article discusses the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) which plans to launch its carbon monitoring satellite on July 1, 2014 to map sources and sinks of greenhouse gas. It mentions 465 million U.S. dollars Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 (OCO-2) satellite is designed to collect high-resolution measurements of the carbon dioxide in Earth's atmosphere. It presents the views of Kevin Gurney, biogeochemist, on the same, and NASA's other plans for OCO-3 in future.
