- Abstract
The aim of this research is to determine the effects of leader-member interaction, satisfaction with the pay level on the intention to leave. The universe of the study consists of 212 personnel working in the main building of Balıkesir Provincial Directorate of National Education. The sample consists of 161 personnel. Data were collected face-to-face using a questionnaire including demographic information, leader member interaction, pay satisfaction, turnover intention scales. A package program was used for the analysis of the data and the data were subjected to multiple correlation and multiple regression analyzes. According to the results of the multi-correlation, it was observed that there are negative, significant relationships between the intention to leave and the leader-member interaction. No significant relationships were found between turnover intention and pay satisfaction, between pay satisfaction and leader member interaction. According to the results of the multiple regression, pay satisfaction did not have a significant effect on the intention to leave. Another result of the study states that only the leader-member interaction has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention. In the last part, the results were interpreted, discussed. It is hoped that the research will contribute to the literature and other practitioners.
