- Abstract
The article presents information on the pharmacological cholesterol-lowering treatment in children less than 18 years of age with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and suggests not to initiate the treatment with statins. Topics include trials of dyslipidemias, nutrition and dietary counseling, and lipid-lowering therapies. Other topics include recommendation of therapeutic lifestyle change (TLC) for children.
