The article presents an overview of the important roles of Egyptian First ladies in the politics and revolution of the country. The topics discussed include the comparison between Naglaa Mahmoud, the wife of the first elected Egyptian president, with the previous first ladies of the country, the vital roles of Arab and Muslim women in the Muslim society, and the modernization Muslim and Arab women.
