- Abstract
People with learning disabilities who are fed enterally often have complications, including pulmonary aspiration. The aim of this article is to give learning disability nurses and other healthcare professionals an insight into the condition and how to manage it in patients with learning disabilities. It also reviews the 'ABCDE' approach to physical assessment, and discusses care options for patients with learning disabilities and their families.
