- Abstract
The author urges teachers and researchers involved in engineering education to utilize the toolkit of historians to investigate how they can use historical tools to support their aspirations for educating future engineers. Topics covered include the use of history in engineering education, the documentary and reflective approach of the historian, how history can be deployed by engineering educators and the way by which engineering education researchers can more productively engage with the past.
