- Authors
Bolte, C. Clint
- Abstract
This article focuses on the annual meeting of the National Government Publishing Association (NGPA). The meeting, originally scheduled to take place in Biloxi, Mississippi, two weeks after Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, was in danger of being canceled. The meeting was rescued due to the efforts made by volunteer leadership throughout the U.S. Forty-eight government employees and vendors attended the meeting. NGPA's objective is to bring public sector publishing officials into an organization through which they can improve the management of publishing efforts through educational programs. This year's meeting included working sessions for NGPA's members to participate in the association's strategic planning process. Dupont Titanium Technologies' specialist Mike Evans discussed various methods of saving money on paper purchases.
