- Abstract
The article reports that Her Majesty's Chief Inspector Sir Michael Wilshaw has highlighted the need as of June 2016 to bring back external national testing at key stage 3 to help all disadvantaged children in Great Britain. Topics include the plight of bright disadvantaged young people whose talents were being wasted, the introduction of more rigorous tesing in primary schools at key stage 1 and national tests at key stage 2, and the need to focus on looking at progress of an arbitrary grade.
