TEACHER'S CAREER STAGES AND PATTERNS OF ATTITUDES TOWARD TEACHING BEHAVIORS.
- Authors

- Abstract
There is a growing literature in teacher education regarding the existence of stages in a teacher's career. The Attitude Toward Personal Teaching Behaviors Instruments (ATPTB) is a device to examine patterns of teachers' attitudes at various stages of their career. Eleven distinct categories of influence were derived through a factor analysis of responses to the instrument. These categories were separated into influences from the personal environment and the organizational environment. Using the ATPTB instrument with teachers at various developmental stages, administrators may design professional development programs that fit the individual needs of teachers.
