- Abstract
Sir, We have previously reported on the use of Cardiac MRI (cMRI) to identify fibrosis in patients with SLE.[1] The objective of the original study was to assess the prevalence, distribution, and clinical correlates of myocardial fibrosis via late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) in SLE detected by cMRI (Figure 1). Twelve (mean age 50 ± 13 years) of the 15 LGE positive patients and 20 (mean age 45 ± 10 years) of the 26 LGE negative patients were available for re-examination.
