- Abstract
The article presents information on various developments concerning the field of biosciences. Climatologist C. Ian Jackson will join as executive director of Sigma Xi, a scientific research society. The U.S. National Research Council begins a study of associates to find out what effect the awards may have had on their career. The Society for Industrial Microbiology will sponsor a workshop on the applications of microbial protoplasts on August 8-9, 1981, at the Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia.
