- Abstract
The article presents a study which showed that some neosequences in vatreptacog alfa can bind with high affinity to human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class II alleles. The researchers showed that antidrug antibodies (ADAs) could have been elicited by neoepitopes in the engineered protein. The use of replacement therapy with the blood-clotting proteins factor VIII and factor IX in managing hemophilia A or hemophilia B and the identification of high risk HLA class II alleles are mentioned.
