- Abstract
The article focuses on the first record of Synurella ambulans (Amphipoda: Crangonictidae) in Belgium. It states that more than 2,500 samples of S. ambulans were investigated at the Laboratory of Environmental Toxicology and Aquatic Ecology. It says that analysis of the samples revealed that S. ambulans was first sampled in Belgium in 2003 and 2004. Moreover, S. ambulans can be found in freshwater and is native to the Ponto-Caspian region and Central as well as Eastern-Europe.
