- Abstract
An essay is presented which discusses the U.S. the racially-integrated industrial workers' unions' visual culture during the mid 20th century, including in regard to the racial integration of African Americans as labor union members. An overview of the visual culture of the Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO) and industrial union the Marine Cooks and Stewards (MCS) is provided. An overview of industrial unions' producing of graphic arts is also provided.
