- Authors
Ternes, Mary Ellen
- Abstract
The article discusses greenhouse-gas regulations proposed or finalized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The agency proposed fuel-efficiency standards for light vehicles on September 15, 2009 that, upon promulgation, will be the first greenhouse-gas emission standards required under the Clean Air Act (CAA). EPA also finalized its greenhouse-gas reporting rule on September 22, 2009. The article lists the source categories subject to the rule, emission-rate thresholds for rule applicability, and changes that were made in the final rule compared to the proposed rule.
