- Abstract
18 century is accepted as an era when the classical turkish poetry and literature's last grand represantatives were trained, and the last successful samples were produced. At the beginning of the century after the poet Nâbî, some poets like Neylî, Nedim and Şeyh Gâlib were accepted as the last major represantatives of the literature. After this era the poets, the represantatives of the classical literarature couldn't reach the same level and they became a simple imitator of the the seniors. Together with being an era of last grand time of classical literature, 18 century is different from other times with its contents and poetry which are particularly characteristic. These metomophosis are seen especially in some kinds of style, sort and content. Ebced (composing a date order) in other words calculation of a date or other numbers by adding up the numerical values of letters, finds its gathered samples in Divan of Ahmet Paşa. Later on through the centuries it reached its summit with the poets such as Hızır Bey, Âdem Baba, Bursalı Hâşimî, Antepli Avnî and Sürûrî. 18 century at the same time an era in which historical verses are too much. At that time ebced was used for caravansary, public bath, palace, fountain and similiar buildings. The subject of this work ebced (composing date order) used for the fountains which are included in the collected poems of 18 century. The base of our work is historical verses and they are mostly written in the structure of kıta-i kebire and kıta-i sagire. By means of this work the special features of style and form are going to be evaluated and chracteristics of ebced will be exposed.
