- Abstract
The article presents the author's views on the failure of U.S. President Barack Obama to keep his promise to end torture and restore the country's reputation. It notes the decision of Obama to assassinate terrorism suspects, as well as his move in asking lawyers at the Office of Legal Counsel to formulate memos legalizing the killing of American-born Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki. Moreover, it mentions the assassination of al-Awlaki's 16-year-old son Abdulrahman al-Awlaki.
