- Abstract
The article reports laws governing sexual offences in Kansas. Topics discussed include enactment of Kansas Sexually Violent Predator Act (KSVPA) in 1994; the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in "Kansas v. Hendricks;" ways in which KSVPA allows for the potentially indefinite civil commitment of sexually violent predators with a mental abnormality or personality disorder; and the Kansas Sexual Predator Treatment Program (SPTP).
