- Title
Milton Society Dinner, 1974, and the M.L.A. Convention.
- Abstract
This article reports on the meeting of the members of the Milton Society of America, which was held on December 1974. The society met to celebrate the end of the tercentenary year. John Shawcross announced that he would be retiring as president and that new members of the executive committee would be Virginia Mollenkott and Stanley Stewart, the new vice president James Sims and the new president Robert West. Don Wolfe, on of the old men of Milton scholarship, commented on the progress of the Yale Milton, with its seventh volume now out, and discussed the awakening of intellectual curiosity in himself and in John Milton who, he said, expanded the definition of man in the Renaissance.
