- Authors
Patel, Mira A.; Mener, David J.
- Abstract
The article presents case studies of two women, a 28-year-old woman who presented with a hairpin lodged within her right nasal cavity and a 44-year-old female who presented with an accidental hairpin insertion into the left nostril. Physical exam of both revealed pink nasal mucosa without purulence and a minor site of bleeding. The article mentions that in both cases foreign bodies were removed by alligator clamp with affected sites being decongested with topical oxymetazoline and cocaine.
