- Abstract
Sundance Commons, a non-profit organization in Toronto, is offering a free new-farmer training program to marginalized youth interested in agriculture. The program provides practical skills and knowledge over 15 weeks, including operating tractors, composting, raising poultry, and growing vegetables. At the end of the program, participants may gain access to land to start their own farm businesses. This initiative aims to address the high barriers to entry for young people in farming and the impending labor shortage in the industry.
