- Abstract
The article explores the potential use of the commons model in enhancing legal aid access in the U.S. and discusses issues associated with the creation of a legal aid commons. A commons refers to a virtual community of like-minded individuals who band together to create and share a common public deemed important to the community. According to the author, issues relating to client confidentiality, malpractice liability and attorney conflicts might challenge the creation of a legal aid commons.
