- Title
Why physicians don't use physical examinations anymore?
- Authors
Berezutskyi, Volodymyr
- Abstract
The article discusses the decline in the use of physical examinations by family physicians. The author attributes this decline to the fact that physicians' practice and continuing education in the healthcare system prioritize laboratory and instrumental examinations over physical examinations. The author argues that the absence of physical examination in diagnostic guidelines has led to a decrease in physicians' application of these skills, which was evident during the COVID-19 pandemic. The author suggests that incorporating reliable physical diagnostic criteria into guidelines could address this issue and benefit patients.
