- Abstract
The impact of the overall controllable knitting input parameters on the residual bagging bend of knitted samples was established. The current findings showed that the most important parameter is the course count. In fact, this influential parameter remains the factor which affects both the residual strength and geometry of the knitted fabrics. In addition, the studied effects and interactions of the corresponding knitting machine parameters on the splice length show that the most important impact is first due to the course count parameters, second to the gauge parameter and finally the binding one. According to our results, it can be concluded that only the two parameters should be taken into account to predict and minimize the residual bagging bend on our experimental design.
