- Abstract
The article offers an economic forecast on risk premia and its effect on global economy. The section examines the widening divergence between the return on investment and real interest rates in the major economies. According to the report, the current global economy, as of July 2007, suggests that despite the recent rise in long real rates it remains profitable for firms to invest in many countries. The study also expects output growth in the U.S. to ease from 3.3 percent in 2006 to just over 2 percent for 2007, with the slowdown driven by the housing market and weaker export growth.
