- Abstract
Buildings with photovoltaic installations, despite the new risks introduced by the activity of electricity generation, must continue to meet the requirement of structural safety in case of fire. In order to control the risk in case of fire, their structure and the constructive elements of sectorisation must have sufficient fire resistance. Therefore, it is necessary to have a method to characterise the influence of the photovoltaic installation and to calculate the available resistance in the structures of the building that may be exposed to fire. This study describes how to characterise the available fire resistance and analyses how the control of electrical risks and structural safety risks in a normal situation interact with the control of the structural risk in case of fire.
