- Abstract
The article reports on public advertising expenditures. The author focuses on public advertising in states including New Jersey, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont after the establishment of advertising commissions in city councils, which are organizations created to promote the educational, industrial, agricultural, residential, and recreational offerings of the states. Data relating to public advertising expenditures, provided by the periodical "Business Week," is analyzed. The annual advertising budgets of states are discussed in relation to advertising media planning.
