- Authors
ORTEGO GIL, Pedro
- Abstract
This article discusses the prevalence of domestic thefts throughout the 18th century, specifically during the reign of Philip V of Spain. It examines the legal consequences and penalties of home thefts from both a secular and religious perspective. The author provides an analysis of historical documents related to law, crime, and the administration of justice from this time period, which demonstrate the lack of punishment for those who committed such robberies, lending to an increase in these crimes throughout the region.
